A Scraplet seems to humans or just Raf to be adorable and cute. Cybertronians on the other hand freak out when see in them because they have the ability to eat an entire bot.

Sometime ago, they were launched from Cybertron and land on Earth in the Arctic, where they froze. Until Bulkhead and Bumblebee brought the pod, that they were contained in, back to the base. Eventually is thawed to the point when they were able to escape, by gnawing through the pod. Raf found one while playing in the base thought it was an Autobot pet and tried to play fetch. Raf came back to the main room, where the others are with it and scarred the Autobots.
After the kid were explained what a Scraplet was, they still didn't believe them until the one in Raf's hand woke up and started to eat Bumblebee. Raf had to save his friend so, he beat the Scraplet to death using a crowbar. Ratchet believed they all over the base, and his hunch was confirmed when the fond the pod empty. Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Miko, and Raf had to split up in to two team; Miko with Bulkhead and Raf with Bumblebee to hunt down the infestation of Scraplets, while Jack guards Ratchet, who is fix the Ground Bridge. All teams get attacked by Scraplets and Jack helps Ratchet by freezing them with a fire extinguisher.
The knew they need to send them back to the Arctic and get the friends back. Ratchet send the kids to repair the leak in the Energon full line, while the Autobots rest from defending themselves. Once it was repaired Ratchet fired the Ground Bridge up and Bulkhead lead them to the Arctic was they froze and hit Prime and Arcee.[1]
Although the infestation was gone the Ground Bridge was still glitchy from their damage.[2]
